About Me

Altered Art
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Born and raised in Alberta, Canada I graduated high school with a 99% in Art. My art teacher said he wasn't allowed to give out 100% because no one is perfect :) It was then that I knew I had to continue to create. I became a graphic artist by the age of 20 and have spent the better part of 15 years fostering my design career. I've kept many scrapbooks and 'life journals' throughout my life and mixed media just speaks to me. I collect ephemera from my life's experiences to be put into pages so I will always remember those moments on my journey of life. Words and pictures together create a greater emotion for me. I join them on my pages because that was the emotion I was feeling that day or the moment I want to remember forever. I like to share my joys, sorrows, dreams and hopes. It is one way I communicate with my karmic leader, "the universe". She is my greatest confidant, nurturer and mentor. I have once again fallen in love with 'art journalling'. It has become a hobby that fills up my soul. A way to creatively chronicle my hopes, dreams, accomplishments, struggles, failures and life lessons as I go through this journey we call life.
